I am an Irish practising barrister, a chartered accountant and tax counsel with over 20 years’ experience in providing legal, tax, financial and commercial advice to corporates and individuals in Ireland, the UK, Europe, USA and Canada and in providing advice on international and cross-border issues.
I have developed my practice as an international corporate lawyer specialising in all aspects of corporate law, taxation, company law, entertainment law and intellectual property, criminal law and money laundering legislation, employment law and family law.
I also practise in the areas of competition law, defamation, general civil and commercial law (contractual and property disputes, probate, professional negligence) and human rights.
I represent clients mainly in the Circuit Court, the High Court and the Supreme Court. I provide advice, Opinions and litigation and advocacy services (drafting, attendance at hearings, Judicial Review and Court Injunctions). I am also available to represent clients in contractual and settlement negotiations.
I am an experienced accredited mediator, having participated in a number of successful commercial mediations. I have also represented a number of clients in commercial arbitration disputes.
I am an economics graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a practising barrister in the Bar of Ireland and a member of the European Circuit of the Bar of England and Wales.
Prior to becoming a practising barrister, I trained and practised as an accountant with one of the big 4 international chartered accountancy firms.
